Parents who are past due should receive a notice to let them know they need to make a manual payment
Parents who receive invoices see they have a past due payment but it should be noted that they need to make a manual payment since auto debit does not pull the past due balance
Suggestion to have a threshold amount under which this notice does not appear. We have had cases of families receiving invoices with text in red indicating "please pay immediately" for $0.01.
Related to this idea, I believe that currently after the invoice notice gets emailed, there is no further notice until a late fee is assessed. A separate notice being sent during the grace period noting that the payment was not made by the due date and that if the balance is not paid a late fee will be assessed on the 25th.

Changes to our prior to debit and einvoices now very clearly incidate if there is a past due balance and that is it due immediately.
